Default Got a $50 Amazon Card for Father's Day - What should I get for working on my 928?

As the title states, I got a $50 card from Amazon today, and I figure that it'll end up going towards the car one way or another.

So....what's the oddball tool that I might not have in my toolbox or a diagnostic tool I should get with it?

Right now I'm working on wiring in the console (one thing lead to another, and I'm now rewiring mostly everything under it), but I'm looking ahead towards when I get her back on the road and there's something else that I might need/want to do.

Yes...lots possibilities, but was curious as to the things that come to your mind first.

A good ratcheting crimp tool is a must have for any tool box.

I've been using this one for many years:

I just ordered a variation of this one simply because of an available die for spark plug ends:

Your lucky, while walking through a well known store past the jewelry counter my wife said to me "What are you going to buy me for Fathers Day". Took me a few seconds to answer as my brains timing jumped a few teeth, "Nice try" I said.

In my case, it was from her Mom & Dad, and she told them to get me a card from there for this explicit purpose!

Plus, I told her that all I really wanted to do tomorrow was hang out a bit and work on the car a bit, and there was no argument.

All that said - I'm wondering when this is going to come up in a "Remember when I...." conversation at some point in the future

Wifey has found/got me a lot of cool 928 stuff for me at amazon.
but since you mentioned console work, adding a USB port would be something useful in todays world.

Picked one up last week and already installed it

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner.

Should have thought of that on my own. With as much as I read on here about the importance of torquing properly, I should have come up with that on my own.

Thanks so much for the input.

And ditto to Hacker - I've got a Crimper that is working for my minimal needs now, but will think ahead to bigger things in the future.

Happy Fathers Day, guys.

I was just searching around on Amazon for parts stated as fitting for the '82 928 before I pulled the trigger on the Torque Wrench, and I think I've found a much better option of what to spend my gift card on.

I think this really brings back the stock look from back in '82, and would add a further air of "Class" to the car.

Seems like I can't go wrong.

(just kidding, of course
