Default Options for early 928 AC compressor

i am getting close to dropping an engine into my 78. I am looking ahead to getting the AC working. The compressor appears to be original and the bearings are rusty/frozen and I am thinking rebuilding is not feasible. I was thinking about a rebuilt Denso. I figure I need a bracket but what else? Could I use my lines if they are OK? Thanks for any help

Upgrade to the later compressor and mount to save your engine in case of bottoming out as the old mounts like the one in your car is prone to tearing a chunk out of the block instead of itself breaking if the worst happens.

Also, I you are going that deep in I would replace the hoses with barrier hoses to hold in the freon better and also for peace of mind knowing your hoses are fresh.

You can get a rebuilt compressor from 928int or any of the other parts houses you like.

Thanks for the tip on the mount, it is a pretty solid chunk of steel in mine.
