Default 928 Pasche pattern formula?

Is there a pattern formula for Pasche? Meaning ratios for stripe thickness etc. ? Every time I try to figure it out it confuses me.

... but seriously. I can see a repeating pattern from square to narrow and back to square, alternating black/white, over a count of 20 in both directions. The actual reduction percentage could be measured from a piece of the cloth. Edit: That's wrong ... I just counted in each direction again and nearly blew my mind ... there's a repeating pattern somewhere but I'm going to need some LSD or dope to see it.

Paul Champagne must have a formula to do his laser engraving of leather.

That's a nice pic of the pattern.

Maybe they got real arty with it but I doubt it.

Go to a row the includes a perfect square and measure the widths going along in one direction until you get to the next square. There are four square blocks (2 white, 2 black) at the "top" of each "hill." The pattern should reverse in the valley. Don't worry about widths and heights in total. The pattern is a table with the same measurements running along the side and the top.

pull out the old formula for the hyperbolic paraboloid. Easy peasy; plug play repeat

The border of the pattern runs through the centerline of outer most column/row of blocks.

I think it would be easier figuring the ratio of people to cake.

I don't have the algorithm for you but I'm thinking I can see the golden ratio working there. Would need to make measurements to be sure.

It's so obviously a complimentary rectal linear progression regression. The Good News is that you only need apply it in two dimensions.

If only someone made Pascha-printed toilet paper, that might be true

That's wild how the pattern makes it appear to undulate in 3 dimensions!
