Once again, I had a blast.....the nunchuck incident was classic.
I hate that it will be a whole year until I see most of you again, but who knows, maybe I'll be driving #30 by then.....
Can't wait for next year! Thanks Dave and Jeannie.

A fond message to friends
This was the first year in 5 years that I have missed SITM. Dave and Jeannie that for putting on such a great event. Even thought I was taking care of my 82 year old mom, I did get in the spirit and buy my 4th 928th. A 1979 5 speed with no sun roof, and no rub strips. Looking forward to seeing my friends hopefully next year.
Cheers

We had a very good time, despite me locking the keys in the car, and missing the fun run. The lesson I learned, iss to just to go for a quarter window right away, don't mess with any conventional methods to open a locked car. These cars are very difficult to break in to.
I want to thank Jeannie and Dave for another great weekend.

First thought was...oh boy...someone neglected changing their fuel lines...lol
WOW...looks like a great turn out. Hoped to make it, but we have an aging dog that my wife will not leave alone.
Maybe next year...unless the old 16 year old house dog hangs on another year.
Thanks for all of the pictures folks.
Brian.

Thanks Dave and Jeannie for another great SITM.
It was good to meet some new faces, and reconnect with some of the crew who I haven't seen the past several years. It was a great weekend!
Hope to see everyone before next year.

Thanks to everyone that made it to SITM this year. What a fantastic weekend spent with 36 of the nicest group of 928s ever... AND even better, spending the weekend with 64 AMAZING PHENOMENAL PEOPLE!!
Honestly Jeannie and I were sort of (well, a lot more than "sort of") dreading this weekend without Thor...BUT the warm embrace and love from our 928 Family got us through it all...and we really and truly had a WONDERFUL WEEKEND with you all!!
Just got back to Tampa at 5am this morning after driving straight through and will post some pics and stuff in the next day or so. Need some zzzzzs first :-)
In the mean time here is a quickie phone drive-by video Jim took early in the run.
Cheers,
Dave

Yes - thanks Dave and Jeannie - it was well worth the trip,
I have to say that the weather and the accompanying Fun Run was the best I have ever experienced. 2 hours straight blasting around Roan, Beech mountains and the surrounding areas. Some of these were roads I have driven since I was a teenager, so blasting through the same tight corners with scores of 928s was exceptional fun. I was really grinning and whopping it up in my car from time to time.
Although some of the usual suspects were not able to make it - rest assured we missed seeing you and hope to see you next time, However, there were some newbies and that helped liven things up. Yes gas went back up and the economy sucks,,,, but really, once you are there,,, most is forgotten. The area of the country, the local shops, the views, the weather,,,, the ROADS! ,,,yes, well worth the trip.
and, yes there is always the infamous nunchuck incident or two ....and sushi.....
