Default Tartan Interior 1980 Euro - thanks Jim Doerr!

I just picked up a 1980 Euro in Buffalo NY, 32k miles (Which appear to be original)...very striking and impressive interior. Another Silver car for my stable but the interior really sets it off...Purple/Turquoise and Blue. Just fantastic original condition(Radio, rear cover, etc.). Preserved Tartan with no fading, and all Pieces are intact...Unfortunately looks to be stored outside under a tarp so original paint is hammered, but underside and seals/rubber/glass/interior are mint! Additional score is no side markers and H4's in great condition. Car runs but needs sorting/cleaning/mechanicals, followed by paint. Had Jim Doerr walked me through the purchase and his advice was invaluable in evaluating and ultimately purchasing this rare early car..His OB knowledge base is truly priceless and being a previous customer he now has a customer and friend for life! I took a few pics 'as found' so enjoy!

H4's!

Love this sticker - my mom was born in Dusseldorf!

That is as cool as any 928 interior I've seen. Great purchase!

Neat car. Tartan interior is rare!
That interior would go with whatever paint color you choose to throw on it. Why not?!
Glad I could help. Great save!

PS. That German sticker is super cool. I love it when a 928 comes with that kind history (don't remove it).

that paint is perfect,
simply give it a buff and wax it,
no possible way you could get that kind of patina.

Go through all of the systems and get it into tip top shape then drive it.

Jim is a great resource and yes he does know the early cars.

BTW Rob Budd can restich the wheel using the existing leather,
he did mine its perfect !

The driver seat is a sport one, and the passenger a regular one. This is very unusual also.

Nice find!

What is the VIN of this car?

Absolutely!

The OBs and early Euros had the best interior choices.

Every so often I get the bug to restore the pasha my car had. The interior was originally custom-dyed brown leather with seats that were butterscotch leather and brown/cream pasha panels. Now it's all brown, and mostly the common brown, with only the door inserts remaining of the pasha fabric.

I love what this market is doing...car was only posted a few days. A few years ago this car would have languished on CL for months, and/or been junked.
