Default espresso brown metallic 928 S4

No affiliation with this add. I think this is a rare color for a 1988 car. Never seen one in espresso braun metallic. It almost looks black in the shade.

Yes agree, I personally love the color. If this example is "glued" together solid, it represents a very compelling buy.

You should start another thread, this is about the expresso car

Looks nice, pics are so poor. Some major items done EXCEPT no info on TB or TB.

namasgt,
If I didn't know better, I'd think you were looking for another 928.

Agree, something's I noticed on the expresso car is the VIN tag missing on the passenger fender and the front post cover. Given the paint condition on the intake it appears that the miles are true.
When I first saw the add didn't pay much attention since I thought it was black but the interior color was odd for a black S4. Then I saw the paint tag on the photo and realized its a dark brown exterior. Wish he had better pics.

I did a quick search and found another espresso brown 88 S4 and the owner was claiming its one of two that came in that color for 88. Don't know if this is true but that would make this color combo very rare for a S4.

Does anyone know how many 87+ cars came in this espresso brown color?

Yes, I still think S4 cars are selling for bargain prices regardless of some being a few thousands away from being a decent driver. As long as the chassis is tight and the engine doesn't have TBF its good in my book. But at this point I am not ready for another S4

Looks like the front right VIN tag is there to me - just a bit dirty (the WP0ZZZ one on the chassis showing through the cutout on the fender).

Awesome colour scheme. I'd love that paint/interior on one of my S4's.

Which is funny, because the first thing that people say to me during random conversations at gas stations or in parking lots is, "I love the color!"

PM me if interested, I've driven it, worked on it, and wrote the text in the ad. It's a very nice car. I posted about it on the recent Who's got a 928 for sale thread, and it's been discussed here several other times. Nothing in it for me, but trying to help out the female owner who's had some health issues and needs to sell it.
