lip stick on a pig......MAACO will blow paint on anything for $500 that will LOOK good in pictures...Still can be fun to own a 928 for next to nothing, after all how much could it cost to restore it ?

That's way too good to be a MAACO paint-job, the gasket between the bumper and body isn't painted.

Lots of folks are still buying these as cheap but interesting cars to own and even drive for a while. No restoration in their plans, do 'just enough' to keep it going.
Jim, ever get calls from folks who needed 'just enough' to get it running, and/or 'just enough' to sell it? Rinse, repeat...
Can I use a Fiat fuel pump in there 'just to get it running'? Pretty sure I have one around here somewhere. Not pointing fingers at anyone in the current group of course. I have personally done this xx times in my long-ago past. Some you win, some you lose. (needs to be a reality TV show...) Sometimes you can get an 'interesting' driver for a while, do minimal work on it, 'just enough' to get to school, church and the liquor store. Until another one comes along. Old one, 'driven regularly, always reliable!" moves on to the next caretaker, until it ends up in Mark's side yard for parts.

Yes back when I was selling parts many just wanted to do enough to get rid of a car they could not afford...... some went through several "owners".... some got divorced, others went bankrupt all learned a lesson in life. The ONLY thing cheap about a 928 is the initial buy in....
