I've been furiously looking at other threads on CE boards, fuses and relays and must have gotten confused. As long as the Deoxit or Stabilant will not cause problems with the relay contacts than great! I'll post once I get the parts.

I've seen this exact same thing happen on the Fuel Pump fuse, like others have said it can happen on any fuse that has a bad connection into the fuse holder.

Here's the update. New/used CE panel from 928 intl as well as all new fuses and relays (almost...they sent 2 incorrect ones). For the incorrect ones I temporarily used the old ones (known to work) from my old panel.

Why all new relays and fuses? Given that bad/cheap chinese fuses may have caused the meltdown with my old CE panel I didn't want to take a chance. Also, the relays in my old panel are 26 years old and who knows how long they will work. So I got all new so that I don't have to worry about them for 26 more years.

The CE panel was cleaned, the old removed, and the new installed over 2 days (between other family chores). Waiting for parts took 10 days. All contacts were cleaned till shiny with emory boards (these work very well for the male end of the contacts) on the CE board & grounds. All parts were shot with dioxit and allowed to dry in the sunshine. All male ends, grounds, fuses, relays, and power contact ends were given a coat of Stabilant 22a. I went ahead and cleaned the multi ground post above and behind the CE panel WIAT....amazing how dull brown the contacts were!

This is a very good write up and worked flawlessly. Thanks jeff!

All components work. Voltmeter on the dash used to read just above 12 (not good). Now it reads a solid 13 dead center, and does not fall with the lights on at idle like before! The car starts easier too!

Definitely easier than I anticipated, and well worth the effort! Thanks to Alan, Roger, Tom and all those who gave advice!
