If there is anything I hate, it's working on threaded parts that have boogers all over. Parts will get dirty on their own, but when somebody is boogering your parts, you know it's time to hang with a new crowd.
Glad you're making progress.

[QUOTE=soontobered84;14824585][QUOTE=928sg;14822706] my lower weisach pins are all boogered up on the threaded parts.

You can pick your nose and you can pick your friends. Depending on your friends you might be able to pick your friends nose. But you can't pick your nose or your friends nose with a Weissach pin....

going to stick with the Borla XR1 mufflers in the place of the factory resonators. I noticed they don't sell the 3" offset ones anymore so I'm glad I have them. I am going to try and shoehorn in the Varex dual 3" in were the factory muffler was located It will be tight. very very tight.

In my opinion, dual 3ö after the rear axle will be enough. Making it bigger upstream will help as the gas is hotter. It would be a nightmare for you to try to fit in dual 3.5ö pipes after the rear axle with that transmission.

I didn't really have a plan to go larger than 3" after the exhaust, just adding a 3rd muffler. Varex because of the variable sound and backpressure.

Got the rear pins in from Germany. Thanks Roger~! I'd like to say they went in without a fuss but they are rear Weissach pins. Rear suspension is all buttoned up and I got the front up to install the Greg Brown skid plates but it looks like the spoiler needs to come off to get them installed. No worry as the spoiler is coming off to make it easier to move.

on the 6 speed conversion, I got the Z06 torque tube connected to the bellhousing, engine and clutch. Hoping to get the lower bell housing and headers installed this week.

I've got the headers installed, and starting to fit up my exhaust. As expected I will have to make some mods... Thankfully I will only need to cut one side.

This is the entire exhaust.

This is the area that will have to be cut and reshaped. I should be able to reuse the 90's, rotate the one on the left downward, and the one on the right towards more level to the ground. I will also add another vband clamp so I can remove the small section that goes behind the diff, so I can remove that small section for servicing.

This is an overall showing where it needs to be. The red areas will fit up into the area with the yellow lines

Got the offending part of th exhaust cut out.

Before installing the exhaust I need to get the ebrake cable situation resolved, as well as get the reverse switch, speedometer and reverse lockout wiring done. Once those are resolved I can tighten up all the header bolts, install the exhaust except the missing section, and then fab up that small section.

after test fitting the exhaust after the cuts above, it looks like I will have to cut everything after the mufflers and redo. I will also have to reshape the sections before the mufflers so they are perfectly parallel.
