Not sure what you mean? What are you concerned about? The front suspension, the cage, the frame rail? And why are you concerned? SHouldn't I be the one concerned?

In the accident, it was clear that the passenger front support ( the part that holds the suspension and ties into the firewall) took all the energy. This energy was transferred mostly to the frame rail under the passenger seat. Surprisingly, that was the bulk of the energy absorption. If that front support had crumpled up, then we would have had to cut it and weld in a new one.

We used no heat in the pulling process. If we had used heat, then for sure we would have to reinforce it. But it should be fine. If it gets wrecked again, then it might be done for, but I'm willing to gamble it.

Yes I was asking about the front support (I didn't know it's proper name). Also was trying to be nice so chose the word concerned. Looked pretty crumpled up but if the frame guy said it's not a problem then I supppse it's ok.

Just the very tip was crumpled. The rest was solid, and like I said, it transferred it's energy to the "frame rail" under the passenger seat.

It had accordion-ed (crumpled) then it would have been a different story altogether.

I understand it's a track car but
that crease in the fender is a tough one to bang out of aluminum for sure.
will require a lot of filler.

Amazing what an expert can do with the right tools. I'm betting the number of real good frame guys out there isn't a high count.

If you find the secret, let me know. I don't go to the gym any more, to work out I go to the shop and spend 45 minutes climbing in and out of the drivers seat. It's really going to be fun with all the safety gear on.

Congrats! I was really hoping someone on here would save the Coca-Cola car. It's been around the block on here and when I saw it was available again I hoped someone would get it (and half hoping no one would before my next bonus came in so I wouldn't be tempted).

I embarrassed myself the 1st day out in the Zombie, Anderson's jumping in and out of the car like a tiny spider monkey, I'm struggling, dragging my size 13 feet over the rollbar foam.... Eventually landed on a Dukes of Hazzard-style undergrip rollbar bicep curl/two feet on the seat sort of thing. Have lost 15 lbs since summer in an effort to not die of heatstroke once the next track motor is ready.
