Default Roof rail 'popping out'.. how to get it back in

As per the photo my left side 'roof rail' is popping out of the retaining fixing. As in the photo there is a screw that I assume I could loosen and then force the rail back down and in...

I haven't done this as it feels like the rail has quite a bit of tension and could see it popping right up and being a problem to get back down...

Anyone tackled this? Is just a matter of brute force to push the rail back down? (reluctant to go that way as I tend to brake things in this scenario).

Thx
Richard

mine was doing this. the whole thing is just press fit onto a channel. I removed mine and carefully tweaked it to be more curved. then re-installed. the little thing with the screw would not stay put, i used some weatherstrip adhesive and let it set up overnight. no more pop up

The end piece is pot metal and becomes weak with age. New ones are really cheap.
