'89 Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) installation
Hello everyone. I previously removed my old TPS when I took apart my intake manifold. Now for the new one, do I just bolt it on the throttle body?

No not really, the position matters in order to activate switch.
There is a good write up by Dwayne. It is buried in his top end refresh section.
I did mine a month ago and it helped quite a bit.

yup
yup, its just two Phillips screws. Before you tighten the screws you will need to make sure you hear the click of the TPS as soon as you twist the throttle link on the throttle body. The TPS has the ability to rotate ever so slightly on the throttle body. So just lightly snug the screws and twist the throttle and listen for the click. It should click just as soon as the butterfly valve on the throttle body starts to move. If it doesn't, just twist the TPS on its mounting screws until it clicks sooner. When its adjusted properly, tighten the screws so it can't move.

LOL.
I also did this with the throttle body still in the car which became a giant pain in the ***.

You need to take your **** ring off BEFORE you work on your 928 'cause it will scratch stuff up or worse get caught on something. An if that thing that it gets caught on is moving your new Rennlist handle will be Stumpler.

Hahahahaah.
You know that's sage advice.
Sean, thanks for noticing, that's after I used the pump to increase blood flow.
My apology to the OP for dragging his thread into the gutter.
