Just updating the group.
I've tried every contact avenue I have for William Jewett - willbj3 (cell phone, texts to his cell phone, PMs both here and on Pelican, and E-mail) - probably 30 contact attempts in all over the past month and the ****er hasn't responded to a single one of them. I'm a bit surprised his status still shows "Addict" and not "Banned" on here, but that for the administrators to handle. I just wanted everyone to know not to use this guy or fall vicitim to his scams.
My first order with him was in mid-May. He shipped me the dash from that order within a couple weeks (but it was damaged - see photos - from improper packaging that he blamed on his shipping store, so I shipped it back to him). Because he had actually sent the first item, I placed a 2nd order with him in early June for some additional items so they would all match and haven't received a single thing to date. I was promised my parts or a refund by September 15th, and yup, that came and went a while ago. I've resigned myself to the fact that I'm out about $1,200. I've got some friends in the Bureau that I may point in his direction just to make his life as miserable as he's made mine these past few months since he's probably violating some type of interstate commerce laws with his fraudulent behavior, but we'll see. Anyway, I digress....
So, who from the reputable side of the forum wants to take pity on me and help out with some premium leather dash parts at reasonable prices? I'm looking for a dash, dash pod, center console, glovebox door, and passenger side A-pillar in black leather for a '79. Paul, Rob, or others who are honorable business people that accept actual credit card payments or PayPal, feel free to send me offers and photos to my e-mail of petza914@gmail.com or point me toward some good upholstery shops anywhere from Atlanta to Charlotte. I have a couple other local feelers out as well, but would rather have someone with 928 parts experience and also keep the business "in the family" so to speak.
Thanks.

I tried to deal with him back in May on Facebook-I could see he was middle-manning a deal and he went radio silence. Never thought about him again until I saw these threads...hope it gets settled right...

Unfortunately, I no longer hold any hope that it will be settled right or settled at all. His total lack of communication makes him a complete A-*ole in my book. I've moved on and am ordering from Rob Budd - it will be better quality and what the car deserves. If the stuff ever shows up, I'll just resell it to try and recoup some of my money, but I don't think there's a high probability of that.

I really hope your friends nail this guy! You can also call the local PD in his area and explain the situation. Do you have a copy of the cashed check? Has anyone posted on his facebook about what had happened to Pete? Sorry to hear Pete and its unfortunate this has happened!

It's probably worth filing an internet crime report. If any part of the communication was via email or the internet it applies.

It likely won't amount to much unless his name comes up on something else but who knows, I was pi$$ed enough to fill one out once.
