Default What's a 92864193900ESZ?

I was looking into a instrument pod circuit for a 1980 S (92864193900) and ran across this number: 92864193900ESZ.

Several sites list it. It's not in the PET.

Pelican link to 92864193900ESZ

Does anyone know what it is?

The flexible circuit board that provides power to all the instrument cluster lights and gauges.

I think they may be NLA for some of the older models.

Porsche has ever given a straight answer for the meaning. It appears everywhere in the main Porsche price list. The part is never available with the ESZ code on the end.
It will appear next to a part number immediately below the same part number without the suffix. See example below.

477819021 AIR VENT CONTROL 328.18
477819021A HVAC CONTROL SWITCH 328.18
477819021B CONTROL SWITCH 263.08
477819021B ESZ TEMP.CONTROL SWITCH 288.77
477819030 HEAT EXCHANGER 298.42
477819031 SS 477819030 60.82

Pelican takes the complete price list and loads it on their system warts and all.

Thanks, Roger.

"ESZ" must be a German acronym for "Good luck, buster."

I might order it just for the heck of it.

Sonnen lists the 928 641 939 00 and 928 641 939 00 ESZ separately, $231.20 and $40.22 respectively. I'll go out on a limb and speculate that the "ESZ" in this case means "bare nekked circuit board (without parts)". But I am usually wrong about stuff like that.
