What is the typical failure for this black power door lock actuator? My driver door won't lock manually from inside or outside with key so I had to pop the linkage off. I noticed the plug was disconnected by previous owner so I don't know if this is part of the non functioning PDL that I plan to trouble shoot later.TIA.

BMW635 since your a member, you can add info about your car to your signature.

To do this click on user CP at the top header,
then find edit signature,

add the year and model and trans type and any other info you might like .

Bump. anybody know if these actuator ever fail and what cause it?

I am trouble shooting other problems that's why I did not remove this actuator to see why. I just know it won't let me lock driver door with key or with **** from inside unless I remove the linkage to this actuator. I'd like to have part ready if this is the cause next time I tear into the door panel again. TIA.
