Default Part interchangability 77/78 into 82

Hello,
I am just starting to restore my 82. It needs a lot of TLC and parts. My question is how many parts from a 77 is interchangeable with a 82? I need to do the interior rear side panels, rear and front bumper, maybe engine/transmission. Any suggestions?

most of the old used worn out parts from a 78 will fit your 82 with the exception of all the fuel injection , drive shaft and trans if both are manual, fuel and relay boards are different. a/c heater control are different , door locking system is different , instrument cluster is different , engine compartment wiring is different..... But many, many parts are the same. The problem is what failed on your 82 are the same things which probably failed on the other older cars....
