I bought one Bosch refurbished FD after lost my patience trying to do it my self.

I agree with Ron, but for the refurbished one, the plunger is 13 mm out of the cylinder.

Hope it helps.

Thanks guys...but here is what I do not understand?...I DID NOT have this issue prior to removing the FD....so what could be causing the continuous feed of fuel? Again, after removing twice, and going through it, again....I'm stumped...the linkage is untouched....

For the sake of those who search...this was solved....there are spacers under each spring inside the fuel distributor, which are not shown in the manual. I had unknowingly lost some when cleaning during disassembly. More details are in my “ official #30 restoration thread”

Thank you for this helpful update. Sorry you had so much frustration, but glad it was resolved in the end.

Let me add that these little "washers" are actually shims that are used to calibrate the flow rate to each injector. If you lose them, or mix them up, then the flow rate will be totally unbalanced. The only way to fix it is by trial-and-error.

The distributor needs to be disassembled upside-down to prevent the springs, shims and holes from getting mixed up.
