5 months of wrenching and she is almost done
It's been a long road on the 87 and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just need to install the fans, hood, a couple vacuum lines and the hood. Then it's off to the shop for alignment.
I finally got her running yesterday, no issues, no leaks, Woo Hoo!
Here is some clean powder coated engine ****.

Very nice. Besides the obvious, what did you do to the engine?

It took me almost 14 months from the time of purchase till I put mine on the road. It's well worth the wait as I have not had one issue....yet. Your engine looks great, and while the body design will always turn heads, when you open the hood, well that brings a whole new chorus of wow's, especially when it looks that good.
Congrats!

Mostly the obvious stuff, intake re-fresh, cam cover seals, OPG, mm, timing belt, water pump, oil lines, powder coating, coolant hoses, fuel lines and lots of cleaning.
Only mods are the tensioner and an H-pipe.

Great work, it must be really satisfying to see the result of all that effort.
I'm about to start an engine rebuild, front & rear suspension refurb and know it's going to be a long, sometimes painful, but ultimately rewarding journey, just going to miss driving the 928!
Enjoy the summer.

I must give some credit to the forum, I have learned allot here. Many thanks, I could not have done this on my own.
Tonight I finally got the last two bolts on the front of the pan, used my Jimi Hendrix fingers.
Bleeding that bastard of a clutch was fun, in the end almost 1 liter of fluid run through to flush it out, then I pumped up new fluid using the technique from the BMW tech video. It worked like a charm, nice hard pedal now.
And bolted up the hood.
The best part is the short list of things to do:
-Install power steering belt and fluid
-Adjust alignment so I'm not **** eyed
-Install fans
-O2 sensor grommet need to be popped in the body
And then Wednesday its off for an alignment.
