928S Body Color Front Spoiler- Pics Please

Just curious if anyone has done this and has pictures they can post. I am aware of the difficulties of it due to the material but am just curious of how it looks. I have searched everywhere and can't find anything (There is probably a reason for that)...Am still curious though 0f how it would look on an early 80s 928S.

Tends to look like Earl Scheib may have painted the car... :) for the youngsters here some history ".... "I'm Earl Scheib, and I'll paint any car, any color for $29.95. No ups, no extras." This campaign and slogan was maintained until Earl died. However, the price was slowly increased over the years. By 1970 it was $99.95, still a very low price for 1 day service. .... " lifted from WIKI

Earl would paint the WHOLE car including most rubber bumper beading and trim, mirror gaskets etc. since masking took time and materials .

First hand knowledge on what a cheap paint job entails...I had a Grand National painted at 1-Day and they painted the trim where the wipers rest with the wipers in place...my last cheap paint job ever

I had my wife's VW Fox (the Brazilian made car) painted at Earl's but only AFTER I did all the body and prep work removed lights and trim and sanded everything so it would stick.....they did a very nice paint job !!! for very little money but that is ALL they needed to do :)
Sorry about the thread hijack ....

No worries...was more or less just curious what it would look like...I would be hesitant doing anything to a new spoiler. Just figured someone would have tried this.

Painted Front Spoilers (or rear S spoilers or beads or bumperettes) makes baby Jesus cry.

You're going to make the one person that has painted their front spoiler scared to come out of the closet....

yep, those examples don't get much love here. I actually like the look, but I have never seen a good execution of it. The only ones I've seen were due to a very poor and cheap paint job, but you could at least see how it might look if done right.

Remember when the "AMG" look was all the craze and people were painting everything white.....and I mean everything :)
