Default Brake Rotors and Pad Recommendations

What would be a good recommendation for cross drilled and slotted rotors for both front and back on a 82?

Should I stick with OEM pads or an aftermarket supplier? Ceramic or metallic? Thanks

Cross drilled look cool, but if you are going to use the car for track, they microcrack much faster than either solids or slotted. For track, slotted is probably the best.

I really like Red Stuff pads for street/highway after trying many other metal matrix, ceramic, OE, etc. pads (see other thread on this). I also like PFC 97's a lot for track. In my experience, they stop well, have longest life, and are 'good' to rotors.

+1 on something other than cross drilled if expecting to push it. Mine cracked all over the place after 3 track weekends. Scary! I've got solids on the front now; track weekend coming up to test them out. Note that I also have Big Red aka GTS brakes up front.

Pads: I've got PFC 08s on all 4 corners. They stop like a champ but good Lord do they squeak. Planning on changing back to more streetable pads as soon as this track weekend is done.

Gary, I have never heard of Red Stuff pads... Is there a specific compound for street/highway use? I'm looking for a pad with much more bite and preferably less dust than stock for my '93 GTS.
