Steering shaft firewall passthrough and seal
90GT...
OK, so I am having a senior moment trying to figure out how the rubber grommet and expansion ring goes together in the firewall opening for the steering shaft. Can't remember if they get pushed in from the engine side or from the cabin side. I also find myself with 2 different seals, but PET only shows one seal. Which one is correct? The are slightly different...one has a larger (wider) groove than the other. I'm suspecting one is from my old 86.5 and the other for the GT but...which one is which?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
