Sunroof motor fix
I posted earlier that my sunroof was running very weak even after taking it completely apart and cleaning, lubing the tracks. The electric motor was very weak and I could stall it out just by holding on to the motor shaft and applying power.
I thought the motor needed replacing or rebuilding, but after tearing the motor down I found the brushes were not making good contact. There is a very small spring that presses the brushes on to the shaft and after replacing the springs, the motor is strong again. I source the spring from an electrical shop in Houston.
It also helped cleaning 30 years of gunk out of the sunroof switch and cleaning the the contacts.
Just a FYI.
