Default Interesting 80 on eBay

Check this one out.

No rear wiper. Odd VIN?

if it checks out, that is a very interesting and nice car. The vin looks correct for an 80.

I think it's missing the WP0ZZZ before the 92A0811567 which would mean Euro car.

The odometer is only showing 962 miles. Either this has been changed out or maybe the gear broke? Or worse someone tampered with it.

Nice documentation of the engine rebuild in one of the pics: euro heads, 32v pistons, etc.
Obviously those seats have logged more miles than the odometer.

That is a "normal" USA VIN for a 1980, only a few digits off from my own. This is also the closest match, options-wise, to my own car that I have ever seen. No rear storage console, no rear wiper, no headlight washers, 5-speed, & no sunroof. Same color interior as well.

Seems nice, but repainted, no point in using a crate short block vs used US, intake and brains are US.

OTOH I hope it sells for the price, makes me feel MUCH nicer about my US 83.

Ad says:

"The speedometer quit around 72,000 miles and a new one was installed with 0 miles on it. it now shows just under 1000 miles on it so the total mileage on the actual car is around 73,000."

Says it's the original color but doesn't say it's original paint. And "stock" exterior, not "original. By that I speculate that it's a very good repaint using Glaserite paint, which is legal in Arizona.

I hope he gets his price because having recently done a good repaint using Glaserite Line 55 paint and taking good car of the drivetrain, I wouldn't sell mine for less than that either.
