87 & 88 ----
VI - 928 615 126 00 SS to 928 615 126 02
IX - 928 618 113 01 SS to 928 618 113 02
XIII - 928 615 117 02 - You can use a 141 951 253 B
XVII - 928 615 124 01 SS to 928 615 124 03

Are you interested in adding information regarding relays that are NLA and only available used - could save time for owners searching for parts.

Roger thanks for that - yes

I'd like to update to all the SS numbers as needed and can certainly color code for NLA items. Possibly also identify some non-Porsche equivalents (though likely not on these charts). There will need to be some supplemental info by year anyway - e.g. relays & fuses not on CE.

If I create a master relay number list can you check all those for availability?

XVI - EZK Relay with fuse tester 928 615 203 00 can be replaced with a 141 951 253B but you lose the ability to test fuses.

Yes I do show that already - its color coded blue as an interchangeable relay with the 141 951 253Bs
(however I may need a more obvious color difference...!)

Still available from Porsche for $25 each so cheaper to use the 53b.
So not NLA but an alternative can be substituted.

Thanks for the great work, Alan. These comments are about the '77-'79 chart. Great work deserves thoughtful questions, so here goes. I hope my ignorance makes my questions more basic and useful rather than less.

FUSES
I'm not sure I understand the coding on the "Input Bus" line. I think that:
#14-23 are fed straight from the Battery and so are always powered;
#5-8 are fed by the Accessory and so are live when the key is in or past the "Accessory" position;
#9-13 are fed by the Ignition and so are live only when the key is in the "Start" position or the car is actually running.

But that leaves me confused about #1-4 and #24-34 and the light greenish color on the rest of the "Input Bus" line, unless all of those are on when the key is in "Run," past "Accessory" but before "Start." Maybe I don't understand the idea of "Bus," is there a "Run" bus?

Perhaps you could "Bus Color Code" the fuse numbers themselves, in addition to the "Input Bus" line.

RELAYS
I like having the names, Latin and Arabic numbers and the Part Numbers on the relays. I also like the blue borders for the interchangeable relays, though you could also make the numbers and text both blue so they'll stand out even better.

On the relay chart, I don't understand:
The b-r-o-k-e-n blue line that's the border of XV-15 starter relay. I see two part #'s so maybe that's it - does (M) before the part # mean "modern," i.e., a superseding number?

I think I understand the numbering of the "Relay Socket Terminal ID's" but I'm confused by the "Plug Terminal" diagrams. That might go away once I retrieve the spare fuse & relay panel I have, somewhere, and puzzle over it. Is it that the slots in the Plug Terminal pictures show which relay prongs are paired (complete a circuit, right?) when the relay activates?

I don't understand the |30| terminal above the Y-Z terminal.
