For early cars this is old style electric seats with two less adjustments than '85+ late style.

Factory calls them just comfort seats but that name doesn't say anything about electric adjustment. M437 and/or M438 are separate option and is called just electric drive. There is always 6-way adjustment so its good name since '85+ never have that number of movement.

In any case I think having M438 option automatically means there is also M437 drivers side electric adjustment included in even without it being listed separately. Though some have both M437 and M438 listed. In case of only M437 alone I would expect only drivers side to be electric.

Without any code seats in all '78-79 and '80-82 4.7L S model are always non electric comfort. On '80-82 4.5L without code they are cheap 911 style.
