I am sure the VIN'S are SE's but cannot find any record of them from the DVLA =DMV? with you guy's
its as if they did not come into the UK
can you also just confirm the colours of them

There are 42 cars with those options. They all are '88 MY RHD C16 UK cars and have same G28/12 gearbox. It's been said for long time that these are all SE. Is there any proof that any of the known SE got G28/55 or are they all similar to some CS which had normal S4 gearbox?

I'm sure they all have G28/55 gearboxes.

1) Jon provided a picture of its SE's build sticker which clearly states a G28/55.

2) I have recently collected the gearbox numbers of all CS's and there are a lot of missing numbers that were used by the SE's.
By the way, from the numbers, I'm almost sure that only one CS was really delivered with a regular G28/12 (WP0ZZZ92ZJS845063, the first real customer car).

3) There are mistakes with the gearbox type into the PET. We have found an early 1989 S4 that was in fact a GT prototype with a full CS engine and gearbox. And I think they are more to find.

WP0ZZZ92ZJS841853 was white.
WP0ZZZ92ZJS842008 was black.

I have the list of all engines of the SE's but three:
1853,1930 and 2008.

I would like to collect the gearbox numbers so if any SE's owner is kind enough to have a look under its car and take a picture, I would be very happy
So far, I have only two cars with complete data: 1661 and 2043.
