Looks like a potentially very rewarding project/undertaking.

Keep us up to date with your progress!

Excellent. I would LOVE to see this car driving around looking just as it did when I found it in the salvage yard.

That would be cool to keep the paint original but paint the wheels before new rubber.
Detail the heck out of the motor and suspension etc..
Love those seat.
Good luck with the motor.

I wouldn't mind to see it completely restored with new paint one day, but I really appreciate the patina it's got now. Fortunately to get it to Frenzy Kevin will have to sort out the mechanicals first

I have done a dozen or so heavy restorations in my life. When I got my first 928 a year ago, I was a little taken back by some pessimism on the board. I know now that its all in good fun and there are SO many projects out there.

With that said, I followed this car since the first "sighting" and I think its going to be a great project. IMHO, (mechanical) ground up resto is the only way to go with these cars anyway as the slope quickly gets slippery. She has great presence and you have a known owner history, best of luck with it!! Congrats!

This '78 above doesn't have a clear coat (it's a non metallic paint), it would compound out pretty nicely i would think.

Windshield doesn't even look cracked.

I'd like to ask the owner for the VIN

I don't think its a 78, pod is not a 78, I can't see vents, my guess is its a 79.
