Any modern ATF OK for power steering fluid?

Hi All,
It's been a while since I've posted but I'm still here. I have a power steering leak and I'll probably be replacing the steering rack for the second time in the last 30K miles in a short bit. Until I have the rack replaced I just want to top off the reservoir. The ATF I have is Coastal Mutli-Vehicle Synthetic Blend approved for vehicles requiring Mercon V. On the back it says it's OK for vehicles required Mercon V, Mercon, GM Dexron III, and for ZF applications. It is not approved for vehicles required Dexron VI or continuously variable transmissions. Should this stuff be OK for my power steering? As I recall, straight Dexron is hard to find anymore and the new stuff should be backwards compatible. That said, easier to ask first than drain the system after...

Thanks,
Dan
