Correct.

Now, if you would capitalize it ("Bisschen"), it would mean "a little bite".

I think you have a great idea here. The commercial publications will never do the 928 justice (not enough money in it). I think as creator, you need to set the tone for our submissions. Language is a great tool. I've always admired the British who could look you in the eye, and in 50 beautifully spoken words could describe you as a burro's behind. And you would think that they are giving you high praise! Avoid the gutter language, show the intelligence and class that brought you to choose Porsche' finest creations. Oh, and by the way, I'm not an old fart ( picketed against the Vietnam war, attended that little get together in Grant Park, Chicago August 1968). Great sucess on this journey.

Davis, Jr. to come aboard at his fledgling Automobile magazine where I rose to the Associate Publisher's role. Following a brief hiatus in another category, I returned to Haymarket Publishing as President USA and participated in the purchase of Racer and Sports Car, and wound it all up again with David E. as the launch Publisher of Winding Road, the first digital enthusisast magazine back in 2005 (pre-iPad). I have a few opinions on the enthusiast publishing arena, as you can imagine.

These days, I'm aboard at Smithfield Foods running our NASCAR program with Richard Petty Motorsports as primary sponsor of the legendary #43 car with Aric Almirola driving for us.

I have extensive experience in both the print space, as well as the digital landscape having forged ahead as the sharp end of the sword in unchartered waters 8 years ago.

I'd be happy to lend my knowledge base to you, Pablo, but this is an undertaking that is not for the faint of heart. Perhaps it is best if this conversation was conducted via a conference call; I'd be happy to arrange it. PM me and we can set it up with the key stakeholders who have raised their hands.

my best,
Bob Weber
We used to get a subscription to Automobile at the shop. About four or five years ago, an issue came proclaiming the 100 Coolest Cars. As a bonafide car nut, I read the issue with great interest....only to find that there was not a single Pontiac on the list. There were Renaults, Citroens and all kinds of other cars that are interesting, and even some American muscle cars, but no Pontiacs? How do you not have the Pontiac GTO on a list of 100 coolest cars?! There are songs about the GTO. I'm sorry, but there is no way a 2CV is cooler than a Goat. And then there is the Trans Am...Pontiac produced arguably the two coolest cars in America for two decades. Not a mention.

I cancelled the subscription immediately and have never picked up an issue again.

Sorry Hai , but the ONLY thing cool about a GTO Pontiac and the Transam were the songs and movies if you like Sally Fields. The cars are TERRIBLE handle like CRAP and yes I have driven several of them both then and now Yet people will pay quite a lot for both....which only makes them valuable not desirable or good or even cool !

As an owner/driver of one of each, a 4-banger & an 8-banger,
I could contribute from a user's Point of View; and the occasional
fixer-upper.

There are scads of folks on this List who are mod and repairs experts.

Could be a fine publication. Pablo. LOTS of Work, yes??

G'luck.

You are missing the point. GTOs and Trans Ams were not the fastest or best handling cars of their day. They didn't have to be. Cool is about image and style, and in their day, they defined image and style (at least in America). They looked cool, and they sounded cool. And most important...they got you chicks. Good luck with your 2CV! A Trans Am was the star of Smokey and the Bandit for a reason...it was cool. And Pontiac sold craploads of them as a result, just as they had with the GTO in the '60s.

Here is the actual list. Note they have a '69 Chevelle SS on the list, a cool car for sure. But without the '64 GTO, there would not have been a '69 Chevelle SS. There are a lot of interesting, unique, well-engineered and technologically-advanced cars on the list. But they called it the 100 COOLEST cars list. To leave Pontiac off this list is ridiculous, IMO.

It is interesting that Mr. Davis' magazine snubbed Pontiac (and specifically the GTO) given the role it played in his early automotive journalism career at Car and Driver. The March, 1964 issue pitting the Pontiac GTO against its Ferrari namesake is widely recognized as putting his name and that of Car and Driver on the map.

Hai, Good to hear you are already enjoying the facebook page! We were getting a bit worried we had to post a Pontiac.

We are still looking for another 968 story for the first web magazine though.

Other contributions are welcome too. Just PM Pablo or me with any ideas or draft articles. Owner's reports are welcome too. We can help editing draft articles.

Geez James, couldn't disagree with you more on this one.

Guess there is a first time for everything

GTOs (grew up riding in my Dad's red '67 4-speed) had really heavy duty suspensions and were quite fast and beautiful in '67.

We'd catch air in it without seat belt doing around 90 mph going over the bridge that my Great Uncle Built on the way to my Grandfathers.

We'd always tell on my Dad when we came in the door.
