Packing up the car tonight. Heading out immediately after work tomorrow. I am going to try and meet up with the DFW crew for the drive down, but that may be a bit optimistic. Its about 14hours from Indy to Dallas, but I do get an hour heading west... so it may help. Leaving Indy around 5:30, assuming no issues, would get me to the DFW rendevious with an allowance for a 3.5 hour nap somewhere along the way.
Anyone need anything from the northern side of the world? Stopping at the liquor store tonight if anyone needs beer they cant get down there.

Careful with the napping...set something to wake you up after 30-35min, NO longer than 40min.
This gives you actual mental rest, without letting you fall into sleep inertia..which is detrimental to alertness if you nap too long.
This is what long-haul pilot crews to do manage rest periods...and on my 12+ hr trips in the car..works well.

Hello Ladies;
As should be expected we are all ******** and elbows. Unfortunately, we are having our estate sale this weekend and we are booked (all 3 dogs and 2 cats) to fly to Panama on 11/22.
We have reservations at the Hampton. Should we simply release them or should we arrange for someone to assume them?

Room Available!
I am bummed 
- I have a family conflict that is making me cancel my reservation - so the Hampton has another room available for Fri./Sat. as of this morning - I will try to make it out on Sunday for the car show though. Maybe next year I will be able to attend the whole weekend.

Dern it. Foot is healed but can't find anyone to take care of my Mom with Alzheimer's to make the trip. Cancelled my room reservation this morning. Was so looking forward to attending, especially after being cooped up with the bad foot for so long.

Well, I got 6 liters of wine tonight, so I'm all set, I don't know what the rest of you are going to drink.
The DFW crew will be meeting at the Home Depot/Jack in the Box at Sycamore School Rd and I-35W. We usually leave at 10:00am with a stop for lunch and arrive in Marble Falls around 3:00. Make sure you have a full tank of gas and a FRS radio.
Someone tell Chuck we're leaving at 9:30 so he will be on time. :-)

If anyone has a spare FRS radio they can pack, I would appreciate it. I looked for mine, and just couldn't find them.
I am hoping to make the Jack in the Box. Will give you guys a call in the AM to confirm if I can make it there. If not, see you at the Hotel.
