sunroof woes
good afternoon gents. Ive had trouble with my sunroof not closing properly since the winter, and in the midst of a "vacation" figured to give it a look. the drivers side cable cracked that skinny pin that moves the shoe that the sunroof screws into. Not too bad, you say, order a new pair of cables and get busy, so i did. but i cannot see where the ends of the cables go, or how to get them there. does the entire headliner have to come out? Or do I unscrew the frame of the sunroof slides on from the body of the car....and then what? has anyone ever tackled this thing (cable replacement) with any success? this goes beyond all the cleaning and greasing that i have read so far on this forum. Please give me a little something to start with, its supposed to rain again tomorrow afternoon, and its at least 50 percent apart.

Headliner does not have to come out.
Cables can be accessed with motor cover removed.
They slide in from the front, and go to the motor gear that drives them.
It's not that bad.
Start by opening as much as you can, take off the 3 screws on the front lip.
This will allow you to slide the shade forward and out.
Then you can take the 4 bolts out (they also adjust the height)-
And remove actual roof panel.
You will also have to disconnect the non broken shoe at the end of the cable.
