Matt have you taken any readings for the ride height yet?
The front shocks can be modified to include adjustable perches,
all you need is an inner threaded ring and and an an outer adjuster collar and the front lower perch,
you may have to JB weld the inner ring onto your Koni shocks.
from your pictures the rear is sitting too high as is the front .
BUT ride height measurements should be taken first

I measured the rear ride hieght (205 mm both sides) but up front the garage floor was too uneven.

It will settle some more i would think. I will take a measurement while out tomorrow, i want to weigh the car again.

I did some painting yet again..

I almost drove away with the hood pins out. Yikes that would be bad.

I need a HOOD PINS SECURE? label to apply to the center console or instrument lens.

Matt,

Wow ! I remember you first posts with the windshield wiper business. I was offline for a spell, but what you've done is nothing short of astounding. My tip of the hat to ya'.

Matt, you still need some form of front spoiler to tie the front end together. It would also add a more aggressive look to the car. Without it the front end appears even higher than it actually. is. Great idea painting the radiator opening slats orange. Nice touch.

I agree- I have been fooling around with some ideas for mine and I plan to play around with a 1/4" plank of ABS later this summer to see if I can make one of those ideas work. Very simple, at least conceptually...

Thanks Dave, Guy, Craig, Fred and Martin.

I painted them inside before work but after 7 hours inside i let them bake for 2 hrs in the warm sun
after work to speed things along.

The radiator slats are a very beautiful design element on the early cars and

i decided it must be repaired and installed. The vertical supports has some stress

fractures and have been epoxied and painted gloss black. They seem strong.

I have decided while reading Ducmans oil cooler thread to simply install the oil

cooler lines to my new factory radiator and forget about an air to oil cooler

up front like a old 911RS. It is much prettier this way.

Re Spoiler Fred and Martin,

I really like the original S spoiler and would like to add it back.

I think they look great.

Re front ride height:

The front is already 3/4" lower than it was (i measured at the wheel opening before)

It will drop another 1/4" -1/2" i think in the miles to come. It looks much better already in person.

Thanks again for the compliment Guys and Guy.

Means a lot.

Need to get the door lexan repaired and finished for SITM otherwise if it rains

it could ruin my door panel card.

I just thought, the best place for a HOOD PINS SECURED? label would be on the driver's side door lexan,

that way i don't get in and use my door hinges or wear my seat for no reason.

Matt,
Really a gorgeous, innovative, qualitative piece of art and machinery.

IMHO, the front "S" spoiler on the early cars make the front end look a bit bulky and do add weight, and that appears what Matt is trying to avoid. The early cars had no spoilers and look great (if the ride height is at the lower end of the spectrum). I had the same problem with Just Peachy not settling with the LS motor sitting a little further back and being 160lbs lighter. Dinsdale cut 1.5 off the front springs and we used Weltmeister lowering springs out back. Adding in the front "S" bumper cover (w-out the spoiler) with functioning air ducts looks nice & clean. Nice job Matt.02 T

Thanks T,

I'd be pretty happy if you pulled up with JP on the trailer at SITM.

I have a head like a sieve, so I tend to try to put things I shouldn't forget in a place where I will literally fall over them if I don't pick them up. It should be the last thing you see as you close the hood.

How about on the support member near the hood latch receiver? Or maybe a flag - like one of those 'REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT' keyfobs - that attaches to the end of the hood prop?

Alternatively, you could get a clip of some sort (cheap hardware store carabiner or similar) and hook the hood pins on your keychain.

If they are dangling off the keychain when you put the key in the ignition, you might notice them.
