I was behind you when you did that. Way behind, since I only do the speed limit.

150 on the back straight at VIR. I lifted going into the roller coaster (after smoking a 911 out of the Oak Tree turn) cuz I wussed out, but I had room for another 5-10 mph. SAVE IT FOR THE TRACK PEOPLE!!! Yet another reason why you should track your 928. It loves the high speed, and is so stable up there.

160 more than once - I hit a cat at 120 that was a pucker factor.

On a trip to the Porsche factory (1988 S4) we held 135/145 for 30 minutes, A/C on, rock steady and surprisingly quite, a few cars still passing us.

As soon as I get tires I trust and the right place I am going to see how close I can get to 200. I at least want to get to the 172 that the Holbert car did.

Got mine up to 210 mph (338 km/h) last month on Nevada Highway 318. Took a photo of the GPS after I stopped at the gas station:

Only used 11.7 gallons of gas for the 90 miles run at an avg speed of 170.6 mph (plus the leisurely 12 mile trip to the gas station).

By then Van was driving the car back to Ely, so this was while we were ready to leave Hiko, Nevada. And it did feel slow.

Me, 140. My son, as fast as it would go. On the way home from 3rd coast a couple years back. Dam kid woke me up with all the laughing and giggling. I told him not to crash the car, and I went back to sleep....
