Default Quick electric question - fuse rating charger pigtail

I want to extend the charger pigtail to the battery and in the process add an inline fuse to the positive lead. What rating fuse should I get?

Leon,
10 amp fuse as recommended to me by Alan and Wally when I did mine.

Depends mainly on the charger - for a maintainer 5A should be sufficient - but 10A is good for virtually any modern medium rate charger. Its what I use since its also adequate to protect the pigtail wiring.

The charger is a standard Ctek (Zafir 90) and has an output of 3.3A, the pigtail is 18 AWG if that matters.
