Hi tire gurus.

Got my new to me 1988 928 S4 in the garage, and I've ordered used 18 x 8 57 et and 18 x 10 65 et Carrera III wheels. They should arrive next week.

I know these are popular wheels for 928's. Could you please let me know what tire sizes are a good fit for a non-rolled rear fender.

I'm thinking of buying Conti tires. I'm more concerned about comfortable driving and low noise than track handling. This ride will be my daily driver, and I live in AZ so wet driving is a rarity. Is there any other tires to consider?

I think that depends on budget, on the low end I like my BFG sports if you have money to burn there are a huge variety to choose from. I had the Yok 100 ES and I thought they sucks wore out so fast. The BFG's have good handling and excellent ware. Good luck

The Sumitomo HTRZ IIIs are pretty good and reasonably priced for the sizes.

I have 225/40 on the front and 265/35 on the back, but I know you can go wider in the back.

Bridgestone Potenza S02 on sale at tire rack right now. Bridgestone Potenza RE760 are also very reasonably priced.
