Black supply wires in a Porsche are usually ignition (15) - just try to forget everything you think you know about wire colors and it will go better.

You need not worry about the motor wires - if it moves one way it will move the other.

The switch is still toasted.

For your goal just forget the switch, they are harder to repair than it seems - you have to know how they are supposed to go together .

If all you need to do is move the seat back just connect directly to the motor.

Asuming you have comfort non-mem seats then its the Grey & Black* wires. One polearity is one way the other - the other

*exception in this case

Well I finally got the seat in a position so the car is drivable.

I have decided that I'm going to desolder the switches and replace them all ( if I can source them) so if anyone has a full working set they would care to get rid of Please let me know, as well as what your asking for them.

I want to Thank Everyone who posted, you guys ALL gave me a lot of valuable info and ideas.

Thanks Again
MJ

My seats had been "worked on" by the PO so there was nothing holding the square pin in place. It was just floating and sliding in the slot so I used a pick to grab an edge and wiggled it out.

Well I think you may change your mind about that once you see the cost of these switches ... You can successfully R&R these but you need some time, a Ziplock bag to contain the "explosion" and a good idea of what to focus on, how to restore/clean it, how to protect it when clean and how to get it all back together again properly.

Correct, new switches are extremely expensive... :-(

I used a plastic bag and lots of patience to get it right, but it works like new again :-)

Did the ignition switch more or less the same way and it works perfect as well.

That's what I love about these cars.
