My drivers window switch gave up the ghost today. I have cleaned the contacts a few times, but this time I think one of the connectors got too hot and melted a corner of the switch just a bit. The contacts were pitted anyway, so its time for a replacement.

I have two questions - now, after poking about a bit in a dark car - neither window works. I have checked the fuse and its ok. Could I have damaged the relay?

And, ... does anybody have some new switches or good used ones? I would really like to have the original one with all of the loose bits, and can put a new switch together from bits if people have the parts.

Anybody have a relay they can send me? I think I might as well change all bits while I am at it.

I am in Denmark and can pay postage etc. I just dont know where to get parts here (just moved here).

Does nobody know of a source for window switches (original)? Its getting towards summer here now, so I would like to be able to adjust the windows. :-)

You need the old style switches (the ones that don't click) newer style are not designed for high current.

If you suspect the relay you can simply add a jumper in its place to confirm operation (jump 30 to 87)
