I stumbled onto this, not sure how familiar an article it is to everyone..
Very sad news in Boston today.

In case you didn't recognize it, the 928 GT belongs to David C, a frequent poster on this Rennlist Forum. I've forgotten his exact moniker, but Worf is in it. Does a lot of maintenance work on 928's in the New England area.

I was researching 308 GTS values in Hemming's and noticed the article.
I recall hearing about it but never read it.

I was buying fuel yesterday and there was a woman driving a light blue metallic 308 beside me, it had some door dings and a clipped re paint. I could tell it was rough cosmetically and asked if she wanted to sell it, she said yes.
I was thinking if i got it at the right price i could paint it and sell it. Has 25k miles and motor sounded very good.
No desire to keep it, at one time I wanted one but not any more. Not very impressive when compared to a 28.
Waiting to hear from her Husband.

I've been browsing the F boards for a bit and seems the 308's and 328's have started an upward trend in pricing, but like our 928's, it's hard to find a good example. Also, like most supercars from the late 70's/early 80's, they get out accelerated by todays minivans.

It's not about performance...it's all about living the dreams of your childhood...

Sweet !!!!!!, I love the 308 GTS, super nice car, parts are hard to come bye, not bad to work on, but the 928S4 is hard to beat.

That's a stretch, but our glorious leaders in Washington DC did force Porsche and other manufacturers to de-tune as they did my US spec '83.

I still think i can take a Honda Odyssey.

Even Super Cars from the '50s could take today'd Mini Vans.

Did not, but i don't consider either Super Cars.
Deloreans were considered slow when new.
308 was built to take on 911, not a Super Ferrari.
But i see your point.;
