Which car cover is best?
It has been many years since I covered a 928 and as I just purchased an 82, I'm in the market for a premium cover. Would like it to be water resistant if not water proof, yet breathable. I have no problem paying a good bit if the product is worth the money. Any experience good or bad out there. Thanks!

I have a SuperWeave cover from calcarcover.com. Its a water proof microfiber type material. Water beads up and runs off. Seems extremely breathable too, never any moisture on the underside.
I also have the shiny silver indoor/outdoor cover from 928 Motorsports.
The Cal Car Covers one is more tailored in fit.
I've layered the two, SuperWeave on top before heavy rain or snow storms. Car stays dry.
We have minimal wind in my area and so far after 6 months of use I can't see any scratches or rub areas on the paint.

My S4 spent the winter under porsche 944 originalteile cover. It fits a bit tight but does its job. And looks good too:

On the subject of covers is it essential to have something looped under the car to keep a cover on? I've had model-specific covers for several cars in the past and found they nearly always blow off after sitting in the airport lot for a few days. Darn annoying, especially when it rained while I was away and the cover's all full of water and dirty from lying on the pavement.
Call me naive, but I imagined a cover made for a specific model car would fit tightly enough not to blow off easily.

well The 944 cover locks on tight; rear is tight fit, mirrors have pockets and front register plate "locks" it into place. never had any problems and yes, It was ouside last summer quite a bit
