It looks like things are coming together for us to meet up at the park. I am going to head down to TC tomorrow to check the park out and some potential camping/frat houses out.

I pulled my car from the street concourse as my time to get the 928 all shiny and detailed was evaporating while preparing the J-100 and J-40 sailboats we race in Harbor Springs. We have made a stronger commitment to the sailing thing and now I will not be able to remain in TC for the whole week as planned (darn).

I'll be there the 23-24 and return for the 28-29th activities... (unless the creek rises)... I've also added a couple of days in Hell to the schedule! https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/drink.gif and looking forward to meeting the rest of the MI sharkers...

Let me know what day works best. I have access to a potoon boat from 23-27. We can cruise the lake, drink some adult beverages, grab a meal, hang at the sand bar. Matt

I'm out... had to cancel the trip.

My dad's heart is failing him, so we have to stay local and spend as much time with him as we can.

Hope you all have a safe trip and a great time. Please post pics so I can see what I missed.

The location across the street from the Hampton Inn looks great for a gathering. It is right on the water and with the temp of the bay being pretty cool, we'll have our own natural AC! Plus if it's really warm, there could be some talent on the beach :-)'

We will have to be early to get the parking, ($5 daily, annual sticker is $10 in state or $29 out of state plate).

There is a group of 11 spaces just west of the Hampton Inn and two groups of five spaces roadside that may be perfect for our gathering... I have a 928 OC banner (Thanks 928 OC!) and if Dave or Kurt will PM me with their cells, I'll be able to participate in the lawn chair, beer and subs event for the parade.

*My options for the Torch Lake tour are the 24th and 25th. I pm'd 993c2cab with my number and am looking forward to that event and any drives to the Sleeping Bear area, up the peninsula? Wherever... Also, The house I looked at setting up for us as a frat house was not as represented, so I gonged the idea. If anyone has lodging to share the nights of the 23rd & 24th or the 28th, I'm interested.

Looking forward to meeting the 928 contingent from the midwest! Keep the shiny side up and arrive ticket free...

I'm coming in on Sat the 22nd pm and will be there through Tuesday the 25th. As stated before, I won't have the 928 but still would enjoy hooking up (especially Monday) with any of the gang for a walk-around, brewski or other enjoyable time. Talked with Jim Doerr (en route today) and it looks like most of us will met up at the concourse on Monday.

Those who want to get together and head to the parade/concourse to "crash the party" as a group can meet at the parking area across from the Hampton Inn (since we do not have a corral at the event). This meeting spot should serve us for the whole week as we gather for drives/events.

Sunday & Monday evening's, we can hang with Jim at the cottage, burn things on the grill and toss a few cool ones down. I have a J Boat race Sunday afternoon so my departure is wind and course dependent. I'll call when I hit the road...

993c2cab is able to do the boat adventure on Torch Lake on Tuesday the 25th. I'm in but do not have his contact info yet!

FYI. The Hampton Inn spot is on a street that is a virtual parade that time of year. Lots of cool cars cruising, a beach and fun loving people! Hopefully the fee based parking will keep a few spots open for us to launch our adventures. If no spaces are open, we will have to come up with an alternative spot to meet...
