The early bolt was a real small diameter and no longer available.
I had some made with a stronger steel and they are $28.50 each.

OMG. There is so much wrong in that pic.

Should be a special shoulder bolt, not a regular bolt - 928 105 570 03

Good picture Ken, I saw the OP's picture and just shook my head.

Go with the Porken Tensioner.

For some reason I feel a lot better as I just put the bolt back in that I took out.
Some cleaver PO's mechanic I assume. Now I will take the new water pump off and drill out the old bolt ( I will find a drill press and wait for the new bolt first)

Also the tensioner looks marginal. A PK is in my future as a bolt and a few other bits from Roger.

Thanks to everyone
Van

the newer style water pumps come with a new shoulder bolt.....not the older style?

you dont need a shoulder bolt with a Porkensioner.......another big plus

drain the block before you try to remove the broken bolt. If your not fitting the PKtensioner now.
OTOH The WP can stay in place,
if your fitting a PKtensioner.
you wont need the new shoulder bolt .

you will have to plug the WP,
SO in that case you dont need to remove the broken bolt just add a plug to the remaining hole.

The remaining bolt will probably come out easily with a left-hand drill bit. No need to remove the WP.
