Fuel injectors cleaning
Fuel injectors on my 89 S4 are out. Seals will be replaced. What is the best way to clean them? Soaking? What product?

I would say that you may as well get them professionally cleaned and flow tested while there are out, I'm pretty lucky that I have a place that does them 3 miles away, and think that they did them for like $15.00 each?
They even broke one of mine, and replaced it free of charge!
Of course it depends on the milage, condition, etc. You may find no difference at all in running condition, but it does eliminate a possible future problem....

Yes having them cleaned & tested is a good idea, as they can also leak between the plastic and metal body resulting in pressurized fuel all over the place, not good.
Many say just replace them w/ new due to the age.

I recently did a cheapo do it yourself injector clean that I saw on youtube.
I took a plastic syringe, and inserted it on the large end of the injector, after removing the black o-ring. It fit very snug. On the other end of the syringe was the plastic straw connected to a can of carb cleaner. I sprayed the carb cleaner into the syringe while applying 12v to the injector, resulting in the cleaner getting sprayed through the injector.
here is the video

The spec on the Five-O website is 246 cc/min at 43.5 psi (standard test pressure), which equates to 23.4 lbs/hr.
Calculator here: http://witchhunter.com/injectorcalc1.php
Which is odd, because those injectors are billed for use with "stock ECU control unit on a stock or mildly modified engine".
But the stock injectors are 19# (presumably at the same 3.0 bar/43.5 psi test pressure).
I don't know if they figure 24# is "close enough" to 19# (it isn't, for best performance), or if there is something fishy with their spec. Let me dig into this and report back...
Cheers, Jim

Injectors are on their way back from Cruzin Performance
Here are my my injectors' results. For a set of injectors that have over 134k miles I think they were not in terrible shape.
