Default TT bearing placement drawing

Does anyone have a drawing of bearing placement within the 928 manual torque tube?

That's what I needed.
So there are only 3 TT bearings in a 78 5 speed?

Never heard of any other number than 3 bearings in any 5sp 928 tube.

Thanks Vil, I just realized it was you that did all the footwork on that thread. If you can recall, do you remember if all 3 TT bearing rubber O.D.'s were 94mm?

The rubbers compress and even wear over time so very hard to give a true new dimension......and we all know they can get loose and migrate.

O.K the front TT bearing sits exactly 10.5" from the face of the front TT flange. So looks like this is about normal (I just read another thread stating 12" is factory location). If the rear TT bearing is close when I drop tranny later, I'll leave the TT bearing carriers alone.
From what I've experienced, the 944 TT rear bearing always goes out first (owned 7-8 944's) when I installed the V8 in the 944 the front carrier bearing went out after about 25k miles or so. This front bearing sounds good and when rotated by hand has no play axially whatsoever.
