Don't ask why this was the morning my brain asked whatever happened to Larry's purchase. But it was. Looks like he was too busy to play with it:

Would like to see some Australian related Porsche content in 000...you might be surprised by the history from Downunder....PCA ( Porsche club Au)has a few members who were in the thick of it back in the day..and many a good race story and amusement can be shared... " like the time the race mechanics couldn't get access so pretend to be German speaking.. and on that security let them pass , once passed they turned around and said " cheers mate!"..

Well in that case then, here are a couple of the flip up rear wing project. First thing I noticed was the wing was rattling, that's when I learned about the flip up wings. Once I flipped it up, I noticed the paint rubbed through by the wing itself. Also noticed that the more changes the adjustment on the wing, the more it would rub on the body. Hilton provided some good details on that there should be paint protection film under near the wing mounts themselves. Upon inspection I found my left side mount had it, but the right did not. This makes sense since the rr corner was repainted. However, the side with the film installed still rubs on the body. If it is crushed then I will replace with a new one, but if it's not I'm thinking I will put a piece of paint protection film that goes underneath both the wing mount and wing itself.

There should be a plastic protector between the spoiler and the hatch....

Upon further looking at the picture you posted, This picture clears it up! thanks! i could see the film under the mount itself on my car, you can see it in the picture just peeking out. seemed weird it wouldnt also go under the wing too. i think someone removed the parts of the film that were not under the mount, so it seemed like it wouldnt take care of my rub. now that i see yours it will obviously fix it. thanks!

Some more pics for you from the last few weeks. Want to start out by thanking the germans for putting the only cup holder in the car in the engine bay. Much easier to find motivation to work on the car this way

quite possible. I would have to take a closer look. Is that a failure prone item?
