If it can help anyone in the future, it is pin 8 on an 82.

Friendly bump that Ed's technique worked great after I converted to three brake light leds on each side.

If you use high enough power brake LED's then it may be OK for the cruise - it just wants to see a low enough impedance to ground when the bulbs are off.

I left an incandescent in the 3rd brake light so I don't have to deal with cruise issues.
