I think if you're serious and don't have enough on your plate with 2 928's already, you should delete the contents of your post and change the title, and try buying it without as much competition

Could be real nice if you have the money and the time. Pretty cool I think.

Thanks for the info and kind words Hilton.
My brother will still have to do most of the work. Once he gets going he will probably want to buy it. I also wanted to get running .

I keep buying bigger plates

That is what I thought. As long as I can do a driving restoration, I can amortize this across several years for parts/systems refurb to bring it back.

I was thinking the same thing... I had just added this car to my watch list when I saw this thread. I am half way interested (the long drive home, winter, importing to Canada), but not if you are going to bid on it. If not and it goes cheap the bother would be worth it.

I think he's slightly distracted by a GTS at the moment...but who knows..maybe he'll go for both..then we'll know that he is truly a 928 fanatic....

Well that was a bummer, I tried to bid and got this message:
=====
"This seller has set buyer requirements for this item and only sells to buyers who meet those requirements.
You are unable to bid on or buy this item because:
The seller doesn't ship to the location where your primary shipping address is located."
=========
When I tried to contact him got a message that effectively said he wasn't accepting communications.

Looks like a snipe bid took it 4 sec before auction ended for $3050, seems like a steal. Hope it didn't go to a Calif buyer, no smog history and no chance it will pass.

Vin for reference is wp0zzz92zes840275

Thread from last year on it.
