Default Door panel removal

How do you take the little plastic door lock trim piece for door panel off?

The round plastic piece unscrews; after you pop the cover and remove the small set screw in the center.

Like Mike said, take the center **** off and then use your palm to unscrew the big part.

As Mike stated the center of the lock **** needs to be removed. it is merely pried out of the lock **** using a tin took to fit in between the **** and the edge of the center cover. Then remove the screw found underneath it and but the **** off. Once the **** is removed the outer ring on the door panel lock assembly threads off. I believe it has a few pin holes for a tool to interface with it, but I have been successful in just palming them and rotating them by hand to remove them.

there is thread lock applied to the lock **** screw from the factory .
NOTE dont make the lock surround very tight when you put it back together as this can cause the lock mechanism to bind,
just past snug will work,
same goes for the lock **** screw just make it snug dont keep cranking it tight.
If your replacing the plastic guides make sure to replace both top and bottom,
so the window will function properly

Just a reminder, but be careful not to forget the two 10mm bolts that secure the door panel just inside the parcel compartment. They are often forgotten and the end result is a mangled up door panel.

Also on the bottom of the cubby are 2 phillip screws that need to be removed before removing panel.
