After spending almost an hour on the phone with dmv, I got nowhere. Search isn't getting me much either. Wondered if anyone knows much about being able to use euro plates? I still have the euro spaced brackets on my car, and would love to use them. ive seen a few on the road over the years but not often. Anyone have any experience with this? Preferable in the lovely state of NY?. TIA

I tried that years ago in CA and they just laughed and said pay us our fees, hang our plate and you could place the Euro almost anywhere else.

In MA, so long as you put a MA plate over top of the euro one, and the MA plate is unobstructed and in full view, having them on the car is legal.

Those that you saw are probably the European ricer crowd. They love sticking older German plates to they cars. I will never understand this as I don't see Europeans drivers running around with US or Canadian plates.
