Boost + 928... someone talk to me
So I might be to the point where it's time for some boost now that the car is running so well (yet still slow). Im used to cars making 2-3 x the power of the German hot rod and I'd like to know all whats involved to step it up some.
Turbo/twin turbo, supercharger? no nitrous, not spraying such a motor, but I think a few psi would help it move somemore, yes?
Anyone done a swap and regret it? Anyone have any ideas which way seems to be the most reliable and make the most power? Anyone have a bolt on solution for us yet? I know DR did or something back in the Carolinas, but that KB swap doesnt exist anymore.
Any help would be appreciated, esp pricing.

Twin turbos. Gt2871r or gt3071r will fit without body modifications. For boost control, get something that let's you increase the boost dramatically after 5500 rpm.

Comes down to budget I think. If time and money are no object, then maybe the TT is a good option. I think the last estimate was that it cost roughly $12k, but I may be way off. But it was not a speedy turnaround.
Murf has a great stage 3 kit for I think $7k-ish (but again, I may be off...) and it can be installed in a weekend or two depending on the WYAIT's. He has the largest installed base of customers at something like 70 or so.
Victor has a low boost option that appears to be pretty robust, but has a limited installed base - I think 3 or 5 customers.
Don't know much about Carl's offering, but all I can say is it would be my last choice.

Don't think
Mebbe with a "three on the tree" just fer S&G.
What Imre has is a stunning example of "improvisational engineering" which allows him license to screw with people who are driving cars they've paid 10X + the money for.......
BTW, for a good read, check his "Dragged one of these home" thread.

Don't think I'd call it "Redneck". That'd be a reconditioned GMC 671 off of an old diesel bus, bolted (somehow) on top of the famous "bulletproof" dodge slant six, and then welded and duct-taped in place in the chassis.
