Your issue isn't over - replace the ground strap. Read EXACTLY what I said before...
If you aren't sure you believe me - strip the cover off the ground strap and take a look at it... then you will hurry to buy a new one - its toast.
- Its good to not over-think things - but lets not under-think them either... no unexplainable fix can really be that easy...

Alan Thank you for the edicate education. I will replace the strap at once. Again 928 owners are the best when it comes to helping each other. Whether it is with car issues or as we have seen in the last year the care we extend to friends and family when someone passes away.
